Castle on Magick Hill
Down a barge and up a hill
The misty mountains do appear
Standing tall and gallant still
A castle stands on Magick hill
Torrents fly in clouds of gray
Blue and green the colors strain
up on towers in the rain
On a hill that's held at bay
Walls of strength defy the fight
As rain pelts down with all it's might
The spirits of warriors long since past
Haunt the walls in battle chant
The clang of metal rings through the night
The ghosts of silence fight with no light
Twisting, turning back again
unseen forces strive to win
A stranger walks through the gate
The sounds of battle; he's not too late
But behold the sight of warriors not
The place is empty, no soul is in the lot
Lightening crashes and thunder booms
illuminating the castle's rooms
Save the cobwebs and feeling of despair
there's nothing there, but a chill in the air
Roaming empty deserted halls
the stranger feels the pain of all
terror, horror, disbelief
all are things he cannot see
the spirits of warriors long since past
attack the stranger with a cold fingers grasp
drawing him unknowingly toward the center of the room
where a large piece of rock stands; a tomb
through the dim light of the nights ink shadows
a glittering appears on the great stone mantle
cascading through a room of darkness
landing on the hilt of madness and power
then from the beginning of the room it began
the great bulk of shadows seek shelter from the brand
of light that illuminated the darkness beyond
originated from a sword entrapped in a rock
glittering diamonds of light dance around
the blade of power the stranger had found
stepping forward he felt a shove from behind
the spirits of warriors guided his mind
his hand reached out, hesitation waylaid
To touch such a marvel, ther had to be agame
A monster to fight, a dragon to slay
Of these chilvalrous acts he didn't know how to play
The air seemed to rumble, with power it shook
the spirits of warriors from anger it took
for freedom to be so close at hand
They couldn't lose it, there wasn't a chance.
Gathering all the power and might they possessed
The abundance of spirits pushed down on his hand
When flesh touched metal, the air seemed to explode
With light and glittering transformation occurred
the once darkened hall now glistened with light
the rooms were adorned with gold and not night
Golden tapestries fell from the depths of the ceiling
While the spirits regained their flesh and their feelings
The spell was broken, power retained
The stranger, a hero, a warrior upon the land
The rock was removed, the sword lost it's power
But the marvel of the adventure shall live on forever.
